Andy Thompson Is anyone currently in Shanghai? I am finishing my Business Economics degree here at UC Santa Barbara and am considering coming to study Mandarin right afterwards. I feel Shanghai would be the best fit as it is an economic center. Any advice or information about the program in Shanghai?

Is it possible to apply for a beijing universaty, do a Autumn course, remain in china, do a winter course, etc, for a cycle of about 2-3 years, and then get a teaching job?
I'm not massively rich so I don't want to keep returning home every few weeks

Hi, I'm considering learning Chinese and teaching English and wondered what's the best experience in terms of accomodation and location. Is it better to live in an appartment, hotel or homestay etc. Both in terms of how much you learn and the fun of the experience you gain?
