I looked into 140hours.com -- It's not quite clear to me what services they provide, since they require the artist to do all the promotion work. To top it off, you have to grant them all rights to your donated art for 180 days. With that in ... See Moreplace, they can do anything with your work. And they get the tax write-off when they make the donations to charitable groups!! No thanks! -- I'll donate cash to some responsible charity myself.

Hi Vic - Well, of course, the minute I posted this, FB came through!! They usually post my blog releases when the feeds go out in the middle of the night, but the whole system seemed to be hung up the other day.

We are all so very sorry to hear that Ricky lost his battle. He fought the good fight and I am glad to have known him also through his blog. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.

I plan the image to be a good 2" smaller than the paper and just cut it out. That usually leaves me nice long strips of paper for testing color.

Thanks for clarifying that, Iain. Sounds like a great way to have test strips at hand, too - my loose test strips always end up drifting onto the floor or getting caught under my palette.
