Christy Clark I have to disagree with my friend Michael Smyth - BC Ferries CEO David Hahn is NOT overpaid. If we want a world class ferry system then we have to pay for that talent and leadership - just like the private sector does. I explain more and take your calls at 12:35pm.

Mike Smyth is getting stale.

Time he found a new gig.

Sorry, totally disagree Christy, and your current envision of having millionaires running such entities are part of the problem, rather than a solution to overpaid CEO's and top management.
$100,000. would be appropriate in my opinion, and even that is on the high side. Why should Huhn be making so much more than the Premier of a Province? And... Read More yes, I also believe Campbell's 53% raise was far too excessive.
Hahn might have the talent, but where is the leadership, when we have a ferry that sinks where two people perish? For the kind of taxpayer $$ Hahn is recieving, there should never be such an issue on his watch. Money must just come to easy for those that think he is not overpaid, of which they don't know the true worth of HARD WORK, which would more likely then get my opinion changed to a higher salary. Perhaps Hahn should be certified as a mechanic, and have to actually get his hands dirty, where I then would be more willing to give him a stipend on top of his (above mentioned) allowance.
You're wrong on this one Christy.

Christy Clark Do you tip? How much? Do you go low if the service stinks? Which professions boast the cheapest tippers? These are the important questions we'll be asking today at 2:35pm. Personally, I always tip big. But I used to be a waitress.

When i worked as a waiter I found that teachers were terrible tippers. 5% at best and very high maintenance.

Christy Clark Finally, finally, the government is scrapping the gun registry. Is there any evidence that the billion dollars spent on it saved lives? I don't think so but the cops disagree with me. Join me to hear why at 1 pm today.

Christy Clark I know I encouraged people to get the H1N1 shot but I never would have thought that professional sports teams would take that to mean they should jump the cue and get the shots before all of us. What the Abbotsford Heat & Calgary Flames have done is outrageous! What do you think? Call in at 12:35pm.

They shouldn't have done that but... I am not rushing out to get the H1N1 flu shot...I think it has been over hyped!!!

Christy Clark Our favourite sexpert Maureen McGrath says couples are having friskier sex at 50 once the kids move out...also, if you could find the G-Spot by ultrasound - would you? Listen in at 2pm.

Christy Clark

Christy Clark Have you heard of the "Fat is Phat" movement? Sort of like fat pride. Should be be supportive of people who want to be overweight? Call in at 2:30pm with your thoughts after you have heard from our guest.

Christy Clark We did not get to this yesterday but we will today! Roadside memorials - a public expression of grief for a lost loved one. But also a grave distraction for drivers. Maybe it's time for a limit on how long they can stay up along the side of the road before they come down, for safety sake. What say you? *9898 on your cell at 2:30pm.

I agree, finding road side memorials to be a wonderful reminder that these folks where special individuals to their families, and these memorials tend to give us that reminder, as well as to slow down and enjoy life, rather than speeding through it! Ryn above, says it best.

Christy Clark Looks like school trustees don't want all day Kindergarten until they get "adequate" funding for the stuff they already do. If all day K has to wait until they feel they've got enough money, it'll never happen. Call me at 2:30 with your opinion.

Christy Clark Have you ever wished that when your child was born he / she came with a manual? Well, better late than never! The rockstar of parenting gurus, Michele Borba, has written such a manual and joins me at 2pm.

Christy Clark H1N1 - are you getting the vaccine? I think you should if you care about being a good citizen. If enough of us get one we will develop a level of herd immunity that will limit or stop its spread. Do you think you're a bad citizen if you refuse to get vaccinated? Listen today from 1235 - 2 pm.

I have a severely handicapped stepson who gets the pneumonia when we get colds, so the flu would be extremely serious. He's fighting pneumonia right now. I've had the regular flu shot every year since meeting his mother 4 years ago. My kids have had it too. Her kids get it every year. We will be getting the H1N1 and the regular flu shot to ... Read Morekeep him safe. It's stupid not to get it. I've listened to all the crazy theories and paranoid comments from your show over the last couple weeks and have to say, wow, these people are way out there. My health is more important and so is my stepsons than to listen to the whack jobs calling in.

Christy Clark How come the NDP in Victoria are fighting mad about a law that would allow police to force their way into your home to take down an anti-Olympic sign from your window, while the NDP in Vancouver City Hall are defending it? Weird! Phone me today at 1:45pm.

Christy Clark Hey taxpayers! The feds are "investing" $800 million of our money in carbon capture for the Alberta oil sands. It might contaminate ground water for decades, could cause micro earthquakes and it's totally unproven technology. Jeeze...

I think there crazy ! They should put the $800 mil towards wind turbines and Solar panels in the middle of the Prairies and produce hydrogen that can be delivered through natural gas lines through out North America that will power our homes and vehicles .Its time to start to wein Alberta off the Oil sands . Our Kids will thank us .
