Friends of the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County
The Clifton Branch Library and the Clifton Cultural Arts Center have teamed up with the Friends of the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County to host the Friends’ next used book sale, set for the weekend of October 16-17.
Because the Clifton Branch is located in a storefront with limited floor space, holding the... sale at the arts center was a natural, said Clifton Branch Manager Jennifer Gomien. “Of course we are thrilled to be working with the Clifton Cultural Arts Center on this venture,” she said. “The Clifton community is a great supporter of the Library, and since the branch is small we've never been able to host a book sale. We are delighted about this partnership and excited to host our book sale in such a beautiful and historic building.”
Several used book sales are held each year at branch libraries throughout the area, said Friends’ Executive Director Anne Keller, in addition to the big sale at the Main Library and two warehouse sales. “This is an opportunity for book lovers to take advantage of the bargains in their neighborhood,” she said. “It is even more critical for the continued good work the Friends does to support the thousands of programs for adults and children throughout the year. We’re excited that the arts center has joined us in this effort.” Partial proceeds directly benefit the Clifton Branch Library.
Discover the extraordinary arts and learning center (formerly the Clifton School) while you support the Friends and the Public Library. Enjoy special performances by Clifton Branch’s Mr. Eric at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Take in the historic building where artists and students meet to learn, create and teach.
