Keep Cincinnati Beautiful Keep Cincinnati Beautiful kicked off its vacant building beautification program, Future Blooms, on Thursday October 8 near historic Findlay Market. Future Blooms aims to artistically enhance the plywood boards used to secure vacant buildings in the city of Cincinnati. The Future Blooms artist team will be painting and ...installing window and door designs on over 130 vacant buildings between October 8 and May 2010. These are buildings the city boards up when property owners refuse to do so when ordered to secure them so they are no longer a nuisance. This project is made possible through grants from the Cincinnati Empowerment Corporation, and the Jacob G. Schmidlapp Trusts, Fifth-Third Bank Trustees. The City of Cincinnati will be providing the buildings.
