We just preordered the new live Tom Waits entitled Glitter & Doom. It's due
to arrive Tuesday, Nov. 24th & is a two disc set. Disc 1 is 17 selected
takes from his 2008 tour and Disc 2 is an assortment of stories, musings &
odd facts spewed forth as truths along the way by Mr. Waits. Vinyl is due
arounf the same time. We will be selling the regular 2 Disc set for $9.99 all
the way thru 12/31/09! A GREAT Holiday gift at a great price! Also, we just preordered
the LP version of Waits' Orphans - 7 LPs of Tom goodness. Super limited.

Although the compact disc is convenient and has some advantages in regards to representing a album there is absolutely no denying the bliss that can be attained from a well con...ceived and packaged vinyl release.SUNN 0))), Stephen O'Malley and Southern Lord have all gone to great lengths to make sure that the vinyl version of the latest LP:
"Monoliths & Dimensions" is of the utmost quality in both audio and packaging presentation. It is truly how they wish the album to be heard, seen and felt. The albums jacket is a heavy-weight cardboard"tip-on" style that contains two printed inner-sleeves and a fold out"poster" with the lyrics and album credits. This jacket is then encased by a printed velum dust jacket that resembles a dust jacket you would find on a hardcover book. This is then inserted in a poly-bag.

2LP's, 4 sides, 4 songs. Sides 1 & 2 continue down the rabbit-hole of "The Black One"...then comes side 3 and things begin to evolve into a whole different world. By the time you reach the concluding track,"Alice" (one of the most stunning pieces of music I've heard in years)you know that this band has nothing to do with "rock music" and certainly not "metal".
