REQUEST: Pat Travers. He is (kind of) from Ottawa, is one of the titans of blues-rock and I haven't seen him play live since 1986. C'mon, it's the perfect storm... :)

Joe Pavelich, amen to that! I would love it if Chicago or Earth Wind and Fire came! I'd also love to see James Taylor again, and I know she is not really blues, but I'd love to see Beyoncé (seeing as she isn't coming to Ottawa on her I Am ... Tour *sniff*sniff* ) But that's just my opinion, I'd also love to see GBS again, but they're on hiatus, oh well, we need new bands this year anyhow! Can't wait for April 22... I'm counting down the days!

I don't think it should be called Bluesfest anymore ... or maybe they should have a separate festival for the newer bands that aren't Blues ... it seems a bit weird to call it Bluesfest when almost every headliner isn't a Blues band. I love the blues ... I would go to both :)

Give me Chuck Prophet again!!! i'd kill to see Van Morrison, so sorry i missed him a couple years ago, same with Live. Lucinda was amazing last year and i'd love to see her back!
I hate the format of this profile... is this supposed to be a message bored? If so, is anyone planning on volunteering? I am!

Bob Schneider and the Deadstring Brothers were highlights for me in recent years, and the International stuff is always mind-blowing.
Keep doing what your doing and I'll be there every year.

since its AllkindofmusicFest now, i think it would be cool to include a few Dj/dance numbers, like David Guetta, or if Daft Punk could come i'd be so happy!!!

Now you're talking......totally agree with including Kid Rock. I don't think the whole Bluesfest could muster up just Blues headliners. I like the mix!!!!

I think it is an AWESOME! Festival even if it is not just Blues Band there is always some stage with a Blues Band everyday! I was a volunteer for the first time last year and I will join again this year because I had a BLAST! To me it is THE BEST Festival in Ottawa! But to each his own hey!

The lineup is great, truly something for everyone again this year. But ... why oh why schedule Styx and Alan Parsons on one night at the same time???? And why oh why schedule Joe Cocker and Los Lonely Boys and Ani DiFranco on one night at the same time???? How the heck am I going to be in two or three places at the same time?

There are still a few holes. Anybody hear if B-52s, Death Cab for Cutie or Iggy Pop will be filling any of them? Or was that just a rumour?
With Blue Rodeo headlining on the 17th, I'm guessing Green Day will be out at the Bank. That should weed out a few thousand delinquents, if only for one night...

I heard somewhere, possibly on this thread but i'm way to bagged out from studying to research - that the Arcade Fire was purportedly playing?

Line up does not justify a full pass for me, but will get a few days passes. My only complaint, the more expensive day pass the night of Kiss -- would love to see The National, but can't really justify $50x2 for a 1 hour set.

Josee Bissonnette Loubier
I got myself the full pass once again:)
