After the House passed a far-reaching health care bill this weekend, all eyes in Washington will be on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. But he's still miles away from a vote on his own bill.

The National Labor Committee (NLC) published a report Tuesday bashing Walmart's sick leave policy, which they said "gives workers demerits and deducts pay for staying home when they are sick or to care for a sick child."

What I think is you should start your own business, hire people, and then provide all those benefits you think they deserve.....third party disinterested, setting rules for those that have an interest, ie; investment, capital, and risk.

The economic recession, the threat of swine flu and pending health reform legislation has all darkened the financial outlook for insurance companies, but it didn't snuff out their third-quarter profits.

It is clear that health insurance markets are broken. A tsunami of health insurance mergers has led to such high levels of concentration in insurance markets that there are now only one or two dominant insurers in many states. ...
Jeff Wenzel

and who's fault would that be, that there are not more insurance companies? The state? The market conditions? surely you don't suggest that 250 million Americans should have to alter their insurance for your benefit?

Citizen Action of Wisconsin AMA and AARP announce support for House #healthcare reform bill

Source: tiny.cc
President Obama, in a surprise appearance during the regular press briefing, bragged this afternoon about the support for the Democratic health care bill by the AARP and the American Medical Association, saying the endorsements bring reform closer than ever.
Jeff Wenzel
Jeff Wenzel
Of course the AARP would support the plan, they are a special interest group that would benefit from providing supplemental insurance. The more medicare is cut (500 billion over 10 years) the more insurance supplement they sell. They are not supporting it because it is good for senior citizens.... because senior citizens are rejecting the plan... and AARP numbers are dropping, so who do they represent?

BTW, AARP = Always Accommodate Reid and Pelosie.

I do not understand how a mayor of failed urban policies for Milwaukee can possibly do a better job for MPS, what is needed is a superintendent for MPS that has veto powers.
