Citizens Awareness Network The Vermont Citizens Action Network (VCAN) is excited to announce its “Solar Panel Raffle” running from November thru January. VCAN will be offering a limited number of tickets to win a home solar panel system retailing for $5,000 in support of its efforts to close Entergy’s Vermont Yankee nuclear reactor and replace i...t with efficiency and renewable technologies. All proceeds from the raffle will go to support VCAN’s 2010 efforts to close Vermont Yankee and pass strong, renewable energy legislation. Only 450 tickets will be sold. They can be purchased online, at participating stores in your area or by contacting Chad Simmons at 802.377.7403.

Contact the VT Public Service Board this week and let them know you oppose the VT Yankee relicensing. This is the only opportunity for citizens to comment. Let them know we can replace VY with sustainable energy solutions, efficiency and conservation. WE CAN DO BETTER!
