Iris are a great choice for an easy to grow, low water demand plant. They have a very long life span. Some nice varieties to look for: Bearded Iris, German Iris, The Rainbow Flower and Poor Man's Orchid.

City of Thornton Water Conservation Checked a toilet for leaks this morning. How? Just put a dye tablet or food coloring in toilet tank. Wait several minutes. If color appears in bowl, there is a leak. Leaks can be silent so this is a great test to determone if you have a leaky flapper. Today's toilet tested negative for leaks. Tomorrow I will be testing... an older toilet.......stay tuned for the results.
