Claire Allan Jumping in Puddles is Book of the Month in Ulster Tatler (December edition) -- and what a corker of a review it is too! Although Jumping in Puddles is only Claire Allan's third novel, it expertly showcases her natural talent for writing. From the opening pages, her prose is captivating, whilst its characteristic fluidity creates an effortless and delightful read.

... towards the end of every book, when you almost completely lose the will to live.I liken this stage - when you are a mere coupla thousand words from the end - to transition (that delightful stage in the labouring process when you want to lie on the floor and cry while screaming "I can't do it.......
