Josephine Flannery Dare I live in the north end of RO and I really love the Blair Memorial Library. No problem parking and a very welcoming staff. I don't pay city taxes taxes but try to contribute by donating all my old books. It is a credit to the city of Clawson.

Blair Memorial Library ... today 4 new museums are available through the Museum Adventure Pass Program: Paint Creek Center for the Arts, Shalom Street Museum, Troy Museum & Historic Village & the U of M Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Awesome!

BML was a mainstay for me growing up just a short walk away. I can remember climbing the stairs to the second floor of the library when the library was housed in an actual house. I can remember warming up in the library after ice-skating on the vacant lot across the street. I remember summer reading clubs, collecting m...y stamps, and the end-of-summer parties. I just wish my memory was good enough to remember the male librarian of oh so many years in the 50s, 60s, and beyond. God bless him and Happy Anniversary!Read More

Save the date! On Sunday afternoon, November 8, the library will celebrate 80 years of service to the community with an Open House from 1 - 4pm. The highlight will be a groundbreaking ceremony as we prepare for the future with a renovation/expansion project. There will be entertainment and refreshments for all. We hope... to see you there!

Based on the book "Shipwreck Hunter: Dark, Deep & Deadly in the Great Lakes," this program brings to life the rare early images and the excitement of being the first to explore unique, one-of-a-kind Great Lakes shipwrecks that represent our Great Lakes marine history. Dave Trotter, diver, historian, and underwater sleu...th, will narrate this multi-media presentation on Monday evening, November 2. This free program, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be held in the library at 7pm. Please pre-register in the library or by phone beginning October 5. Read More
