Clean Energy Coalition Ann Arbor Area Clean Cities Coalition (AACC) will be holding a meeting at Frenchie's, 54 East Cross Street in Ypsilanti's Historic Depot Town, on Wednesday, August 12th, from 10 am to noon for discussion and networking on local clean transportation initiatives. Guest speakers:

* Rob Bacyinski, Alternative Fuel Program M...anager at DTE Energy, will present information on CNG Options for fleets.
* Bob Kopach, Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of the Solar Electric Vehicle Company, will show fleet managers how to get a free solar vehicle.

Clean Energy Coalition The ninth annual Mayor's Green Fair is set for Friday, June 12, 2009 from 6pm-9pm in downtown Ann Arbor. With streets closed for this free event, all are welcome to learn about clean energy, green commuting, biking, and meet the environmental leaders of Washtenaw County! Live music and special youth activities will also be featured.

Clean Energy Coalition The 2009 Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival - which drew over 3,000 attendees in 2008 - will feature several diverse subjects, including Air Quality, Conservation, Food, Renewable Energy, Solid Waste, Trees, Transportation, Water, and Wildlife.

This free family-friendly event includes the participation of over 40 local organi...zations. Youth-oriented educational displays, art projects, and experiments will all be part of the fun. Additional highlights will include green building, live animal programs, musical entertainment, and face painting. The All Species Parade is a chance for area children to dress up as their favorite animal or plant and join a parade to celebrate.

Clean Energy Coalition The Michigan Clean Transportation Expo & Awards Gala runs from 4:00 until 9:00pm on Wednesday, September 24 and includes three unique tracks:

1. A Public Expo from 4:00 until 9:00pm featuring presentations from technology innovators, vehicle displays, and other clean transportation exhibitors.

2. Networking and cocktails... from 6:00 to 7:00pm - your chance to meet the professionals you need to grow your business

3. An Awards Gala, with dinner, from 7 to 9:00pm featuring three keynote speakers:
John Hieftje, Mayor of Ann Arbor, who will describe Ann Arbor's efforts to become America's Greenest City;
John Hertel, CEO & General Secretary, Regional Transit Coordinating Council (RTCC), who will outline in detail Detroit's forthcoming Woodward Light Rail transit system;

The race finish is on the 50 yard line of The Big House!
