
Brooks Center for the Performing Arts The Clemson University Symphony Orchestra will perform Ford’s Theatre: A Few Glimpses of Easter Week, 1865, a piece written by American Composer Ernst Bacon that chronicles the last week of Abraham Lincoln’s life. The orchestra will perform this selection and other works at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts located at Clemson University.

Brooks Center for the Performing Arts Justin Durham, Clemson University’s new director of choral activities, will make his conducting debut in the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Durham will lead the university men’s and women’s glee, as well as two other elite singing groups in a concert featuring a wide variety of choral works, including some holiday selections.

Clemson University Symphonic Band will perform the music of several great composers as part of its annual fall concert. Under the baton of Mark Spede, the ensemble will play music by Wolfgang Mozart and David Maslanka as well as perform a piece written 100 years ago by Gustav Holst. The free concert is Monday, November 23, at 8 p.m. at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts located on the Clemson campus.

Called “brilliantly silly” by “The Boston Phoenix,” the show is part jazz concert, part comedy cabaret, part Super Bowl halftime show, part Harvard grad scho...ol, part Radio City Music Hall, part audience participation, and all fun. As Ernstoff wreaks havoc on flutes, saxophones, keyboard, and percussion, he shares true anecdotes from working with top personalities, such as Wynton Marsalis, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and even Clemson’s own Rick Goodstein. Erika will perform with the Clemson University Symphony Orchestra during their October 5 concert. A vocalist, Erika will sing "Don't Rain on May Parade" from the musical "Funny Girl."
