Clint Mansell

Clint Darryl Mansell was born on January 7, 1963 in Coventry, England. He was the lead singer and guitarist of the British band "Pop Will Eat Itself". After the disbanding of PWEI in 1996, Mansell broke into the world of film scoring when his friend, director Darren Aronofsky, hired him to score his first film, 'π' ("Pi", 1998). He has scored about 25 films since 1998 such as 'Requiem For A Dream' (2000). The music of this film is used in most of the TV reports and is also the main theme of some TV shows as "Sky Sports News". Clint Mansell was given the Best Original Score Award by the Chicago Film Critics Association for the movie 'The Fountain'. Recently, he scored 'Moon' and a french film called 'L'Affaire Farewell'.
