Up until a couple weeks ago, I couldn't move my fingers at all. Close to a year ago, my therapist would spend a lot of time on my hands and fingers, getting no results. She wouldn't tell me that, not wanting to discourage me. I could tell because she didn't concentrate on them as much. With her on going therapy and m...y continual exercises (trying to squeeze my hands into fists, hundreds of times a day), a couple weeks ago she started rubbing a point on the edge of my chest, next to my arm and told me to try moving my fingers. I did and they started moving. We were both very happy and she talked about how my fingers have improved a lot and weren't responding months back. I still have a long ways to go but I'm pumped that they have started. Read More

Big ups to Margarita Vargas who had enough sense to do the right thing and call 911. "A 15-year-old girl who was raped, robbed and beaten by multiple attackers outside of her high school homecoming dance was found by police after 18-year-old Margarita Vargas, undaunted by pressure to keep quiet, called 911. Varga...s called police after her brother-in-law told her about an attack at Richmond High School in Richmond, Calif. CBS: "I was watching a movie, and my brother-in-law came in and he told me 'I don't know what to do, because there is a girl back there and she has been raped. I'm scared,'" 18-year-old Margarita Vargas said. "I'm like 'We should call the cops because that's the right thing to do.' I didn't think about it twice." Relaying what she knew, Vargas called police without even witnessing the crime. She arrived after police and saw the victim being taken away. Vargas told CNN that she was proud of herself. Referring to a culture of silence, Vargas told CNN that there's a common saying around Richmond "snitches get stitches." Police believe up to 10 people participated in the Oct. 24 assault and that as many as a dozen people watched, laughed and took pictures while it happened. Seven suspects have been arrested, though 1 has been released. According to a report by KTVU News, at least 4 of the suspects are teenagers and face life in prison. One suspect is 21. The victim released a statement last Tuesday, urging supporters to look past their anger and work for change to keep people safe. According to police, the 15-year-old who was attacked, left her high school dance Oct. 24 and was expected to meet her father. He was looking for her while the attack took place. Comedian Katt Williams was arrested outside of Atlanta, Georgia overnight, following an incident that resulted in charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.A deputy at the Coweta County jail, about 40 miles south of Atlanta, has confirmed that Williams remains in custody this morning (November 9). No additional de...tails about the incident were released. The arrest comes a year after Williams was arrested in New York City on weapons charges. Last year, Williams, was in New York for his debut performance at Carnegie Hall, which was scheduled for November 6. The following week, the comedian allegedly underwent a mental health evaluation for possible hospital commitment after run-ins with city and county officials in Sumter, South Carolina. The 36-year-old actor/comedian, born Micah Williams, is scheduled for an arraignment today, where a magistrate is expected to set a bond amount for his release. Read More
