Coast 105 High Wind Warning in effect from 7pm today thru 7am Sunday. South winds 40-45 gusting to 65 along the beaches and highlands. Expect the peak winds 8pm - 3am as another system moves across the area. GM
Coast 105 This storm had a low form on it west of N California which absorbed some of its energy and a lot of its moisture. As a result, this one did not pack the punch the earlier models forecasted. Wind gust were in the 40-50 range and low rain caused the Nehalem to stay 1.5' below flood stage. All is wonderful in the world! GM
Coast 105 I think we may be getting the leading edge now. Winds gusting to 47 in Rockaway, 60 on top of Cape Meares and gusting to 45 in Pacific City. Light rain will lead to moderate rain...will lead to brief heavy rain late tonight. GM

Kyra Williams Can anybody tell me why the Miami River isn't monitored for flooding except to drive up and say "Yep, it's flooding..." Can a flood gauge used???
