Coeur d'Alene Public Library The library will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Patrons with Internet access can still access databases linked to the library website - www.cdalibrary.org - 24 hours a day. Call 208/769-2315 or visit the library at 702 E. Front Ave. during open hours to obtain the passwords for the datebases. Normal library hours resume Thursday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m.

Front Ave., during Poetry Slam No. 2.The event is offered as part of Teen Read Week at the library, but all ages are welcome to participate by sharing original poetry or the work of a favorite poet.
Coeur d'Alene Public Library Dr. Michelle Foltz, an orthopedic surgeon and author, will speak at the Coeur d’Alene Library, 702 E. Front Ave., on Wednesday, Oct 14, at 7 p.m. and read from her book, “A Leg to Stand On.” Recently returned from Afghanistan, she will talk about her experiences there, in Africa and in Cambodia, focusing on the social and economic impact trauma and injury play in developing countries.
