The
quintessential story of friendship, Steel Magnolias serves up a slice
of life in Louisiana that's as warm and comforting as sweet potato pie.
In the... haven of Truvy's beauty salon, six very different women come
together to share their secrets and bare their souls, throwing in a
little neighbourly gossip for good measure. From weddings to divorces,
babies to funerals, new beginnings to happy endings, they weather every
event in their lives with grace, determination, and perfectly coifed
hair. When tragedy strikes, it is in the familiar comfort of Truvy's
salon where they seek the solace and support that carries them through.
Fans of Robert Harling's smash hit film can enjoy this enduring comedy
and heart-felt celebration of love, loyalty, and the bonds of
sisterhood live on stage with some of Australia's best loved actresses
of stage and screen.

Jetty Memorial Theatre There's no such thing as easy money Dealers Choice is much more than just a comedy. It is a compelling story about fatherson relationships, male bravado and a secret window into the world of men. Set in a restaurant after closing time, it's usually the same old guys and their weekly 'friendly' poker game, but on this p...articular night there is a ring-in. One last dinner guest lurking in the restaurant volunteers to join the game. Unknown to the amateur poker players, he is a tough, uncompromising professional gambler, owed a large sum of money by the restaurant owner's compulsive son. In the build-up to the inevitable poker game, the men's lives are revealed and secrets are divulged. Dealer's Choice crackles with scalding wit and edge-of-your seat suspense as the stakes are driven to an almost unbearable knife-edge.
