Rosie O'Neill

Rosie O'Neill Beautiful photos. I ordered some that were particularly meaningful. Also, the DVD of the closing mass is just majestic. See Juan Flores post below for ordering information.

Fernando

Fernando Once Again, An inspiring and informative Congress. This is my second Congress. As a recent "revert" back to Holy Mother Church, this event has deepened my sense of appreciation for the many blessings we have as Roman Catholics. There realy is something wonderful about Mass with @30,000 other Catholics!

Margie Brugger Esposito

Margie Brugger Esposito This is the second year my husband and I attended the Eucharistic Congress. We so much appreciate the event and hope it will continue! We were truly encouraged spiritually and our faith was strengthened. The final vigil mass procession was a moving sight to behold while we sung "Holy, Holy, Holy..."

Turnbolt Cathy

I think the Theme this year is from The book titled: Catholic Christianity;
A Guide to the Way and the Truth and the Life; by Richard Carlson; . . .

As grain once scattered on the hillside,
Was in the broken bread made one,
So from all land thy church be gathered,
Into thy kingdom by thy Son.

Just my $0.02 worth but I ...thought the 2009 Eucharistic Congress was a wonderful faith experience. May God bless all that made this experience so meaningful.Read More

Archbishop Gregory explained in his opening talk that the theme is a reference to an ancient Eucharistic prayer in the Didache (apparently Richard Carlson copied it in his book):

As grain, once scattered on the hillsides,
was in this broken bread made one,
so from all lands thy Church be gathered ... Read More
into thy kingdom by thy Son.

The doors open at 7:30am on Saturday, and I suggest arriving as early as possible since the traffic gets snarly around the GICC pretty quickly.
