UM Observatory Well, I listed the event as a slumber party and I think we were all wishing that we had slumbered! I think it was just a wee bit too light polluted so we didn't see the faint meteors.... and then it got hazy with clouds moving in and out... Was out there till 4am! Elizabeth did get a photo of one meteor... We did get to meet alot of fans (!)...

The more light pollution, the fewer meteors you will see... the most numerous meteors are the faint ones. Shenandoah is pretty good... the lookouts along Skyline drive if you can get in... I've observed from Shenandoah River State Park... but for those of us who don't want to drive far, we'll be at the UM Observatory... it's shielded from direct lights which helps alot as well.
