Businesses can help save the environment by conserving energy too. The rebates range from $9 to $400 depending on the motor size and the number of motors being replaced.

More low-cost renewable energy in Colorado Springs in sight

The Cascade Hydroelectric Plant has been under construction throughout 2009 and, when it comes on-line later this year, will be the fourth in a series of hydroelectric power plants in our community. The first was brought on-line in Manitou Springs in 1905.

The eligibility requirements for assistance have broader income guidlines this year, which means more customers should qualify. Need help with your heating bill this winter? The federal LEAP guidelines and application form are now available on our site. Applications can be subimited from Nov. 1 to April 30.
You may qualify for LEAP assistance if:
You pay home heating costs to an energy provider, fuel dealer, or as part of your rent
You are a perm...anent legal resident of the United States and Colorado or you have household members that are U.S. citizens.
You provide proof of lawful presence in the U.S.
Your
maximum family household income falls within Federal guidelines.
"Household" means people who live with you and for whom you are
financially responsible.
