Alumni and Friends of MU School of Health Professions All,

It is with a great deal of pleasure that I introduce the newest member of the School of Health Professions family…digital Touchstone! You can read the fall 2009 issue online by clicking on http://digitaltouchstone.missouri.edu/publication/?i=25042&p=1. Digital Touchstone allows us to share more of our stories ...through additional media. For instance, to hear Jill McClintock tell her story of independence, go to page 9 and click on the “Click and See” icon. Or, to read a newspaper story with a video link of our feature on the SaeboFlex stroke recovery research, go to page 113 and the “Click and See” icon. Another newspaper story can be found by visiting the “Click and See” on page 27. You’ll also find that digital Touchstone will make it easier for our readers to communicate with staff members to volunteer for activities, submit information or to make a donation!

Finally, readers of digital Touchstone will get a bonus as there are four additional pages not found in the print version. I hope you enjoy this publication!

Best regards,
Cheri

In order to learn, you must experience. And if you ask occupational therapy (OT) students where they learn the most, they would probably say during fieldwork where they get hands-on experience with clients. Fieldwork educators play a crucial role in the success of OT students...
