L'Ohio Legal Rights Service This New York Times Sidebar article on juvenile sentencing features a study done at Cornell University on the Court's Atkins ruling prohibiting capital punishment of defendants with mental retardation. The study concludes that some state are more resistant to implementing the Supreme Court's rule than others.

L'Ohio Legal Rights Service The Ohio Supreme Court will hear arguments in State v. Speer next Tuesday. The case is important to Ohioans with hearing disabilities or who are deaf because the court will decide when a person with a hearing disability can be excluded from jury duty in a criminal case.

L'Ohio Legal Rights Service ODJFS is talking about reducing dental care under Medicaid. People with disabilities are already at a remarkably high risk of not being able to access dental care, and this will make it that much harder to get dentists to provide needed care.
