Concerned Citizens for the removal of the SD Pride Board Carl Worrel in his resignation letter: After the unconscionable bullying we took from Christine Kehoe, Todd Gloria and Toni Atkins; it is obvious that my involvement in shaping the future of Pride must end. It is sad to me that a group of pompous, spineless, politicos; pseudo-journalists; dinosaurs and fossils; and, pissant miscreants will set the tone for Pride,”

        • Tami Rose I don't even care. If I see this bitter old bitch on the street when I get back, I'm spitting in his face. And if I ever see Prinshitta again, a much worse fate will fall upon him, my "verbal attack".

        • Jen Marcelo I am glad this article touches on the importance of the re-instatement of the Pride staff. I fear that we will lose our allies, and our women's area might fall by the wayside. :(

Concerned Citizens for the removal of the SD Pride Board The resignations are great news but we need to continue to watch the actions of the new Pride Board to ensure that they clearly represent our community, Pride staff, and Pride volunteers. The interim board should open up the board to some pride volunteers, fresh community leaders, and people of different backgrounds... Keep posted!

        • Eric Hufford techincally every 501(c)3 is supposed to have their bylaws and annual reports ready for anyone to see. also i would think to prevent this to happen Pride should be made into a membership orginization where anyone can donate x number of dollars and than they would be able to appoint and remove board members.

We are delighted about the new developments and grateful for the input our elected officials have lent to this concern. And, yes, we are pushing for a speedy reinstatement of ED Ron deHarte, production manager Jeff Redondo, and development ...director Ken St. Pierre. We are proud of where the staff of San Diego Pride has taken this organization to. SD Pride has become a year-round community activity and cause. Be part of it: join the board, volunteer body, or sponor community! We thank all the individuals who have been working hard on spreading the spirit of Pride over the past 4 decades.See More

          • SisterIona Dubble-Wyde the major errs have been corrected. we should allow the new board to set the course of business. just as we would question the need of the community to tell us who works for us if we have a buisness we shouldn't interfere with theirs to determine what fits the new direction of Pride.
