River & Riptide Anglers Anyone out there care to share how the Steelhead fishing has been on the Salmon River in NY. Heading up mid November and just looking for some reliable intel on how the chrome run has been.

River & Riptide Anglers Good reports of fish at Bonnet Shores and big blues at the mouth of Narrow River. Large pods of birds work the Firemans District to Napatree. The Fall run is going strong. Wont stop running til Turkey Day

River & Riptide Anglers Back from some travel, looking forward to wetting a line. Hope the Albies are still here. Should start winding down with good bass & blufish runs through Turkey Day. It ain't over. Still have Steelies 5 hours away. Anyone interested in getting our news letter send us an e-mail at info@riverandriptide.com. Specials, new products, tips, and events. dp

This has been a great year for False Albacore, Watch Hill continues to produce. Watertemps mid 60's. Once they drop below 60 Albies will move off and bass should head south. Albies were coughing up Bay Anchovies which is the predominant bait.

River & Riptide Anglers Here's an example of what one angler found while fishing the Watch Hill Reefs in RI. This is one of the biggest Albies thats ever been in my boat. 1st Albie for Nancy from Wisconsin

Ben Bilello Just back from the Miramichi...unfortunately, no fall run to speak of yet. It was actually amazing how few fish we saw. I was the lucky one however. I got a nice hookbill about 8 or 10lbs. No one else in camp had even one pull or rise all week. Oh well, I guess that's the nature of the beast in salmon fishing. Looking coward to hitting the water back home

River & Riptide Anglers Anglers, the fishing is hot here in RI, False Albacore, Racer Blues, & Bass are all in the mix. If anyone has ever thought of venturing to RI's 400+miles of fishable coastline now it the time. The water temps have dropped to 66 degrees and the fishing is only going to get better. Tight lines everyone. Capt David www.riverandriptide.com

I volunteered for the Family Day at Red Brook in Wareham this past Sunday. I got a tour of the area and decided to fish it after work on Tuesday. What a cool little stream. The salters are starting to make their way into the brook and I saw a few fish rising in both the Casting Pool and the Little Flume. The water leve...l in the Casting Pool was a little high and made for difficult wading without my Simms wading staff....hint, hint. I think with a little more experience, it could be a great new fishery. It is unbelievable the work that was done here to restore this area to a truly 5 star sea run brook trout stream.Read More

River & Riptide Anglers Its getting better every day. Albies are running Newport RI, through Fishers Island NY. This is the best time to get a slam, bass, albie, blue all in one days trip. The fall fishery has started and with the weather outlook the forecast looks great. Baby Blue Fin Tuna have also been reported at the East Ground off the Block with Alies mixed in.
