This monthly musical Shabbat service is lead by Rabbi David Wolpe and Craig Taubman with special guest, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Alfred Uhry*.
Following services, in addition a complimentary Kiddush for the entire congregation, there will be a Q&A with the Tony, Oscar, and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Alf...red Uhry. Mr. Uhry’s writing credits include Driving Miss Daisy, Mystic Pizza, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and Parade - a musical based on the 1913 trial of Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager who was accused of murdering a thirteen-year-old girl in Atlanta. Leo Frank’s trial became a national sensation and helped to raise awareness of anti-Semitism in the South. Come hear Mr. Uhry talk about his highly prolific career and about the new production of Parade, playing at the Mark Taper Forum September 24 through November 15.
(Israeli Dancing will return in November, and the Artist Salon will be back in January).
AND, in additon, the young professionals (ages 21-39) will host their own oneg in the ATID Lounge with snacks and schmoozing.
