Bearded Seal Woodcrafts

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts Oh, and I just recieved my hundredth request for toy trains. Today's question: if you were going to design your own train, what would it have as "cars"? I'm leaning towards learning games, but sizing them properly has been a challenge.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts will be in Boston this Friday through Sunday at the huge Xmas show in Boston. Let's just say they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. : ) Here's the download for the coupon if you're in the area. It's supposed to be the biggest and best there is ... guess we'll find out!

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts went up to Wellesley, Mass., Monday to drop off some toys for the Holiday Boutique there. It's a gorgeous little shop, so stop by if you're in the area. You can even get them on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wellesley-MA/Wellesley-Holiday-Boutique/196731885288

The main Web site is http://www.wellesleyholidayboutique.com

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts wonders if there's such a thing as being TOO busy. Wood-lovers cleaned me out at Scituate (I'll post photos as soon as I start breathing again) and we (foolishly?) signed up to do the Christmas show at the Bayside Word Trade Center in Boston. If you pass a talking pile of sawdust on the road, that's me.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts is now down one thoroughbred rocking horse. The goncao alves one is off to the home of a lady about to deliver her first baby. So that means a new horse has to be made. I'm thinking cypress and imbuia. Cypress is a pale yellow -- and much lighter weight than the goncao -- and the imbuia has great figure, so it should contrast well. I'll keep you posted!

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts survived the Bourne Scallop Festival intact. I did really well. They figured about 55,000 people came to the festival. I sold out of several of my toys. Now I have to figure out how to make enough stock for Ballston LK in four days. Not to mention the Scituate Fair the weekend after and the Harvest Fair the weekend after that. I wonder if I got a bit ahead of myself signing up for all these craft fairs. Wish me luck!

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts is getting ready for the Bourne Scallop Festival this weekend. It's a great event in the Cape Cod area of Massacussetts. This will be our first time at this event so wish us luck.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts is back in town. Couple of weeks in Denmark for a wedding is quite a trip. It was a lot of fun though. We got to see some wonderful sights. And I was able to do some research on top of it all. The Danes love wood. They also have a great sense of style as well, so I have a bunch of ideas for some new products.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts is going out of town for a couple of weeks. Even us wood guys need a little time off now and then. We will be back and ready for buisness on the 19th of September. Bye!

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts The Wood Guy is out at Mabee Farm, just outside Schenectady, NY, this Saturday. Drop by, say hi, and try out a PYO orchard (there's a million out there).

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts Been a while but, ITEM OF THE WEEK! Smart Car. A great little toy for those environmentally minded little boys and girls. My smart cars take up even less room then the full size ones. They are that small. Because the Smart car is such a green car I only make them out of reclaimed wood. So order a smart car and say you are green minded on many levels.

This toy is available in any woods from my Wood List. When ordering, please specify wood type in "Message to Seller" box.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts finally has a workshop that is not a fire hazard. Yeah!!! The electrician fianlly finished all the rewiring that I started last spring. The shop was an extention cord nightmare. I don't know how I didn't burn the whole thing down with all the saw dust already in there. Hey I work with wood, not wires.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts nevertheless has happy news! Our ad will be back in Parents magazine for the September issue, and we've picked up two more magazines as well: Parenting and Kiwi. So the next time you're standing in line or waiting and the doctor's office, check it out (and let us know what you think, as always).

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts survived Block Island. Barely. It is a lot of fun going to a craft show on an island that the only way you can get there is to take a ferry. A ferry that has no sense of pity when you are late, too. Needless to say we waited all night and most of the next day in a stand-by parking lot waiting for a single empty space on one of the ferries. We waited and waited. We even got so bored we set up a table in the lot.

Bearded Seal Woodcrafts is almost ready for Block Island this weekend. It's a great art festival in RI that I have a lot of fun at. I've been working hard to make lots of stuff to wow the vacationers who visit there. Wish me luck.
