With a mix of originals that vary widely in mood and covers that span from classical pieces to brooding modern alterna-rock, Jay Burlison is not a stranger to delighting crowds with music. He is a veteran of the local music scene, having played with a classic rock/blues/ and country cover band (Snydley Whiplash), an or...iginal hard rock band (Blight), and is the host of "The Weekend Buzz" which airs Thursday nights on 102.3 FM WRHL and highlights the local original music scene.
For this acoustic project you'll hear Jay play selections from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Weezer, Smokey Robinson, Foo Fighters, Neil Young, Sublime, Jeff Buckley, The Grateful Dead and many, many others alongside a plethora of originals. Some have vocals to accompany the guitar, some are solely instrumental, all are played with great passion. He is not looking to be the focal point of the event, just to add to the already pleasurable atmosphere. So raise a glass and enjoy some good conversation, Jay will be on hand to enhance the experience with a wide variety of timeless acoustic selections. His playlist is always growing and he loves learning new songs, so don't be afraid to give a request. If he doesn't know it, he can learn it. Rouge will host a special tasting this Friday, Nov. 13th. Jon Phillips, owner &
winemaker of Inspiration Vineyards in Sonoma, Ca. will be pouring his latest release in Creston on his way back from Hong Kong where his Cabernet Sauvignon received some high reviews at the International Wine Fair.
It is a...lways a treat to interract with the winemaker while tasting these small batch/handcrafted wines, and we are thankful that Jon & Barbara will once again honor us with a visit. Please join us in a relaxed atmosphere from 4:30 to 8:30PM.
