Greater Bucky Open
The Greater Bucky Open, Inc. is a fundraiser golf outing with proceeds benefiting the UW Health's American Family Children's Hospital and Bucky Badger student mascots. The event is always held on a home UW football weekend and includes a variety of fun activities. The golf outing itself is not your ordinary event as we... have many prizes and contests for every range of golfer; for example, we have trophies for worst shot of the day, shortest drive, best golf story, plus we tie up inflatable Cows to the pins on par 3s and have a Closest to the Cow contest.
GBO Staff, Bucky and members of the UW Football team also makes an annual visit the UW Health's American Family Children's Hospital to deliver donated toys and bring general good cheer to the children. The kids are always very excited to see Bucky and are appreciative of the fun toys! It is truly the highlight of the weekend and we encourage everyone to get involved however they can!
Greater Bucky Open Festive Outing...auto hole in ones, trophies for longest drives, shortest drive, best golf story, worst shot of the day, longest putt, etc. First Place trophies for finishing 1st, 2nd and 2nd to last, GBO BUCKY BOWL traveling trophy...has been to hockey games, fishing boats, Vegas, and beaches across 22 states including Hawaii!
