stakkeddesigns The basement is done! Just have to get some new lighting, my glass pane door, a few cosmetic updates, and start moving everything down by the end of the week! Thanks to everyone that had a hand in helping us finish this room. Your time is very much appreciated! We'll post pictures soon!

stakkeddesigns Getting walls painted and floors stained by our great friends at All About Painting! They sanded the concrete walls, applied coat 1 of DRYLOK primer, and are acid-washing the floors. Stain will be applied tomorrow and walls will be finished early next week. Great job guys!!

stakkeddesigns Decided I'm not going to do a drop ceiling in the basement. To keep with the "industrial" look I'm going for, I'm just going to paint the rafters, pipes, and duct work. Thinking a medium gray; I'd love to do black but am afraid it would close in the room too much... On top of all that - it will probably be cheaper than... doing a drop ceiling anyways!

You know Marc - he was formerly with The Graphic Edge. Has been a bit of a "mentor" to me and will handle training, new sales initiatives, creative direction/management, etc. Have him on part time right now and Joel will become a p/t employee as well within the next month or so. Right now he's a subcontractor. He was a referral from my friend, TJ, and his helping me with design. Marc is also a licensed electrician and will be assisting me with the finishing of the basement.

Hey - yeah I measured everything out. The HVAC (right now) is where the couch is (shown) and it's going directly on the other side of the wall in front of where Heather's car is parked. Having it moved on Wednesday. Going to frame them up to get them out of the room entirely and off the ground. It'll open up a lot more space in there b/c right now ... See Moreit takes up the entire space where the couch is. I have most of the furniture I need but I feel a good shopping trip to IKEA coming within the next month :)
