DEAD SEXY INC
Like- One spring morning, I found myself strolling around the streets of Stockholm. I ventured out of the city centre, looking for an old industrial district. The telecommunications giant, Ericsson was about the only industry that still seemed up for it. They were still based in an elegant old art-deco building. Always a lit...tle curious as to these kind of places, I poked my nose around a few corners, and eventually stumbled upon a rather banal UPVC service entrance. There was a sign by the door that read « Post Gods ». The sign was apparently written in swedish, but I, being english, had unsurprisingly read it in english. In swedish, ‘post’ translates as ‘mail or office’ and ‘gods’ as ‘goods’. It was simply the office that managed the deliveries. But it was too late for me. Ideas of angst-ridden existential post-punk melancholic rock had already started floating round my head. «Post Gods», that should be a band, I thought. Back in France, David Michael Clarke started to ask the question, « how to represent this rock group that doesn’t exist ? » With a little help from his friends, multiple answers were found and started to take form. Post Gods a group at the frontier between fiction and reality. Un matin, je me promenais dans les rues de Stockholm. je me suis aventuré hors du centre ville, à la découverte d’un ancien quartier industriel délaissé. Basé dans un vieux bâtiment élégant de l’époque art-déco, le géant des télécommunications, Ericsson, semblait être la seule industrie toujours viable aux alentours. Au dessous d’une banale entrée de service à l’arrière du bâtiment, j'ai remarqué un panneau sur lequel était inscrit «Post Gods» . En suédois, «post» signifie «courrier» et «gods» les marchandises. En fait le bureau de gestion des envois et des livraisons. Mais je l'ai lu en anglais et cela a éveillé en moi des envies «Rock existentiel Post Punk Melancolic» . De retour en France, David Michael Clarke s’est posé la question, «comment représenter ce groupe de rock qui n’existe pas ?» Avec l’aide d’amis, de multiples réponses sont trouvés et prennent forme.
