DFL Just to let you know that DFL's Twitter feed is active again; I'm posting links to (and pithy statements about) Olympics-related news as I encounter it.

Athletics: No doubt 30-year-old Atsushi Sato of Japan will be the subject of many an attempted human interest story, now that he's finished dead last in the men's marathon. He finished 76th with a time of 2:41:08, which was 34:36 behind the gold medallist...

DFL is, at its most basic, a call for people to lay off the athletes. So, even though it has nothing to do with last-place finishes, I thoroughly enjoyed Dan Wetzel's tear into IOC president Jacques Rogge for Rogge's criticism of Usain Bolt's behaviour after winning his medals...

Jennifer A suggestion...this morning on the radio, there was a guy being interviewed who'd created a widget people could put on their webpages - a kind of ticker showing the current Olympic medal standings, which updated regularly. And I thought that for the next games, a DFL widget might be a very fun thing!
