Matthew

Matthew grey or even black water is actually good for your garden, with different types of processing applied to both, of course... plus, plants and soil surface microbes are more effective at breaking down pharmaceutical contaminants than commercial water treatment methods. the plants benefit from dissolved ions, nutrients, and microbes in the recycled water.

Rob Formella It's only Illegal if a plumbing inspector see's it, right. That's coming from a plumber.
These are rumored to be problematic, but I don't know first hand. Commercial rainwater collection systems should only be used for toilet and urinals. Greywater can be very contaminated and should be installed by a licensed plumber only!

And the risk of contamination of your drinking water is ZERO if you follow our instructions and disconnect all existing freshwater plumbing from your toilets before connecting the properly marked greywater plumbing to them. The system's control manifold also includes an anti-backflow valve to prevent greywater from entering your freshwater supply in the event of excessively low water supply pressure.

simple things like this can help people to begin to save our precious water resources...we very well may be fighting over water, a necessity for life, rather than oil.....sooner than you think

John I've wanted a gray water system for years, ever since I saw such a system installed in a house in Arizona which was featured on an home improvement show back around the year 2000. My two thoughts were, that's cool and ever building whether commercial or residential should have such a system.

Aaron Turpen Hmm..it'd take too much cleaning to ad it to a hydroponics system, but I can see it working awesome for lots of stuff. Oh, Chris, as for laws...I live in Wyoming. Laws are great advice for consideration, but generally useless. :)
