This quote opitimizes the path that Blak Majik has chosen to walk. Blak Majik, born Sean Johnson, found his place as a part of the Baltimore hip-hop scene in 2005 as a b-boy. From rocking shows, to rocking cyphers he continued to further his knowledge of hip-hop culture, academically and in practice. His breaking background led him on to cross paths with many influential people within the Baltimore hip-hop scene, namely several established DJs. His love for music, and his expereince rocking thr crowd was seemingly destined to crossover to fine tune his skills as a turntablist, while simultaneously exploring paths that many others ignore. Viewing himself as a student of the arts, his seemingly insatiable thirst for musical comprehension and exploration has branched off to reach from funk, jazz, rock, pop, house, hip-hop, and other major influences. Blak Majik, now an established DJ decided it was time to explore what other paths this music could take him on. He has been a radio personality on several stations, a producer, an audio engineer, and of course a club and show DJ.
