From her early days at St. Andrew High School for Girls, Sunshine has had a craving for music, “I used to tape music off the radio and then try to mix them.” Sunshine migrated to the United States where she attended Miami Dade Community College to study architecture. However, the field of architecture did not quell her... thirst for music. The music “was still in my head” Sunshine would say. It was then she started out playing at house parties and small shows to hone her craft. Like a ray of Sunshine she burst on the music scene to become the "FIRST LADY" of the Dancehall. From her humble beginning at Harry’s Bar to IRIE FM, the musical maestro has been flexing her musical muscles entertaining the people, who she credits with her success. DJ Sunshine takes radio listening to another level, by showcasing music and talent that gives dancehall artists great exposure. “THE JAM” is a blend of music that is put together in a way that tells a story. On Wednesdays the mix gives you a little of everything from old school beats to the latest hits. Then on the Thursday and Friday afternoon slots, prepare yourself for straight party vibes, as Sunshine knows exactly what to serve to her entertainment hungry fans. With her unique way of spreading joy, laughter, and a vivacious personality, the talented DJ Sunshine is lighting up the airwaves.
