DJ Sona Shine

Sona Shine got involved in music by producing electronic music shows, “Altribe: The Tribe That Dances to The Digital Prophecy” and “Happysouls Techno Farm” at Açik Radio since 2001. In the winter of 2004 she started dj’ing disco, old school house, breakbeat and electro tunes in small clubs and parties. She was a resident dj of Dogzstar for a year. With a broad taste of music ranging from rock to jazz, hip-hop to funk&soul, Sona had already had her share of Goatrance as a music explorer. After being totally eclipsed by the 2006 Soulclipse festival, she made her move towards psychedelic trance and started spinning full-on psytrance in the first place.

Besides venues such as Dogzstar, Auf, Dirty, Saklıkent, Karga and Studio Live, she performed in various small and large scale outdoor festivals, like Rock’n Coke, 2006 Turkey and Rhythms of Peace, 2006 Morocco. She has performed among artists such as Astral Projection, Guy Salama, Atomic Pulse, Atmos, Bizarre Contact, Bliss, Electro Sun, Fatali, Mekkanika, Naked Tourist, Menog, Space Tribe and more...

Always willing to discover more in music, Sona is focussed on Nightpsy lately. Always playing tracks that make her dance in joy, she wishes to rip your mind and put it in your heart... She kicks hard, yet with mercy :)


Sona 2001 yılından itibaren Açık Radyo’da yaptığı “Altribe” ve “Mutlucanlar Tekno Çiftliği” adlı elektronik müzik programları ile müziğe adım attı. 2004 kışında kulüp ve partilerde old school house, disco, electro ve breakbeat çalmaya başladı, bir yıl boyunca Dogzstar’da resident dj olarak yeraldı. Müzik zevki rock’tan caz’a, hip-hop’tan funk ve soul’a geniş bir eksende uzanan Sona Shine önceleri dinleyici olarak goatrance ile tanışmış olsa da psytrance’in gücü ve pozitif yaşam enerjisiyle somut olarak 2006 Soulclipse festivalinde karşılaştıktan kısa süre sonra tamamen bu müziğe yöneldi ve ilk olarak full-on psytrance çalmaya başladı.

Dogzstar, Auf, Dirty, Saklıkent, Karga, Studio Live gibi mekânların yanı sıra birçok açık hava partisinde ve Türkiye’de Rock’n Coke, yurtdışında Rhythms of Peace (2006 Fas) gibi büyük festivallerde çalan Sona Shine Astral Projection, Guy Salama, Atomic Pulse, Atmos, Bizarre Contact, Bliss, Electro Sun, Fatali, Mekkanika, Naked Tourist, Menog, Space Tribe ve daha birçok önemli sanatçıyla aynı sahneyi paylaştı.

Müzikte arayışını herzaman sürdüren Sona Shine son dönemde nightpsy müziğe odaklanmış durumda. Herzaman kendi de dansetmeyi sevdiği müzikleri çalarken bir an için de olsa dinleyenlerin aklını yerinden çıkarıp kalplerindeki asıl gülümseyen yerine koymayı ve hepbirlikte sadece “şimdi”yi paylaşmayı diliyor. Sert vuruyor ama acıtmıyor :)
