Jonathan’s Place

For more than a decade, Jonathan’s Place has been taking care of the Dallas area’s youngest victims of abuse. Jonathan’s Place provides care through two programs – a “home-style” emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children and a Foster & Adoptive Family Program.

The emergency shelter provides specialized services and 24-hour residential care for children in crisis under the age of 17. Annually, more than 400 children who have suffered unimaginable atrocities begin the process of recovery within the safety of two “home-style” cottages on a six-acre campus in Northeast Dallas County.

In the Foster & Adoptive Family Program, Jonathan’s Place recruits potential foster and adoptive families, conducts a comprehensive training program and verifies the families as either foster, foster-to-adopt or adoptive families. All of the Jonathan’s Place families have access to the services provided at the emergency shelter, relieving some of the burden associated with being a foster or adoptive family.
