Every day, anti-choice protesters show up at Dallas-area clinics to harass, threaten, and demean women who choose to terminate their pregnancies. They create a climate of fear, hostility, and shame that is calculated to intimidate patients and staff and prevent women from exercising their reproductive rights. And once ...a year, we make their mean tactics work against them and for reproductive justice for low-income women.
How do we do it? With our annual Pledge-a-Protester campaign!
How it works:
You pledge a specific amount for each protestor that shows up at the Fairmount Center on April 10, 2009. Sign up Here!
We count the number of protestors and let you know how many were there. We’ll also take photos and post them on the internet.
We email you an invoice, and you send us your donation via check or PayPal. (We’ll use your tax-deductible contribution to help make reproductive rights a reality for low-income women in North Texas. By providing financial assistance to help cover the cost of pregnancy termination for low-income women, we’re ensuring that women who want abortions are not denied access because they can’t afford them.)
*We can’t predict how many protestors will be there this year, but to help you estimate what to pledge, there were about 400 protestors last year.
Thank you for turning the tables on protestors and making their mean tactics work against them and for reproductive justice!

In the United States by the age of 45, approximately 1 in 3 women will have had an abortion. But to talk to women, you'd never know it.
One in three grew out of the silence around abortion. Out of the everyday stories of women, some of them heartbreaking, infuriating, frustrating, even hilrious. OUt of the longing ...for art that rejects the shame and stigma surrounding abortion and authentically represents the real experiences of women.
