Dalton McGuinty Ontario is announcing grants of up to $2000 to apprentices and $1000 to employers when training is successfully completed. These steps are part of the government's plan to strengthen Ontario's apprenticeship and skilled traded system and ensure we have the skilled workers we need for tomorrow's economy.

Dalton McGuinty Ontario's Second Career program is helping laid-off workers develop the skills they need to find new jobs. The Premier went to Guelph to meet several people who are training as welders. Second Career has been an amazing success helping more than 21-thousand train for high-demand jobs. The government is investing an additional $78 million to keep up with demand.
