The Indy torpedoed Besse. I am sad.

Whether or not a candidate endorses anyone has NOTHING to do with whether or not you should vote for him or her. I will probably go McCain for Prez, but Mr. Besse has GREAT policy ideas!! A vote for Besse is not a vote for Obama, but a vote for Besse.

Following a lifetime of activism for the environment and 25 years of legal advocacy for the poor and various public interest organizations, Winston-Salem City Councilman Dan Besse is running for Lieutenant Governor.

His election will represent a change in leadership I think we all agree needs to be made right here at home: with Dan Besse as Lieutenant Governor, we'll have a conscientious person on the council of state.

A man who thinks of our clean air and water, our productive land and pristine forests first, who understands that growth and conservation must always exist in balance and that Civilization is the long mediation between the two.

A man who has fought the tough battles against the foes of women's choice as a legal advocate for Planned Parenthood.

A man who has served two terms on the city council of a fast growing North Carolina city and understands how to foster SMART initiatives that work for people and the businesses that provide the jobs we need.
