Our mission is to build social awareness, confidence and self-esteem in children through the practice of social dance. Dancing Classrooms Northeast Ohio, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, was founded in 2008 by Jo Jo Graham.

Dancing Classrooms Northeast Ohio Each residency concludes with a Culminating Event (lesson 20). Presented before their families and student body, Dancing Classrooms' curriculum culminates in a final assembly performance, complete with literacy components, where the students not only demonstrate their behavior as Ladies and Gentlemen through their new...ly learned dances but publicly present a selection of their literacy projects developed throughout the residency.

Salsa is a different dance then others we learn,
It is unique because of the multiple turns.
Salsa is my favorite because we switch partners to dance,
I'm glad we change partners and not our pants.
The Salsa steps are quick, quick, slow
You shake your hips but don't go too low.
