Hi Everyone-
I am so excited to present to you "Survival in Flux", a show that brings together everything I've been thinking about and fighting with in the last several months. I am so grateful to the Northfield Arts Guild for giving me this fantastic opportunity for my first major solo show, and I can't wait for you t...o see it.
"Survival in Flux" is a commentary on survival in our current world. With economic pressures and political movement, we are in an exciting and uncertain time of change. My camouflage paintings and chicken portraits are a discussion of my life in 2009.
Though natural evolutionary processes and ingenuity of artists brought the use of camouflage to the military, its pattern permeates modern culture. Camouflage not only equates to function, adaptation, and evolution but depicts survival in my art, life, and culture as well.
I really hope to share this opening night with you.

Spring is here, and so is the annual Northeast Minneapolis Arts District studio tour - ART-A-Whirl! This year features over 400 artist studios, galleries, workshops, and more.
This year's hours are:
Friday, May 15th - 5pm-10pm
Saturday, May 16th - Noon-8pm (I will be open until only 6pm)
Sunday, May 17th - Noon-5pm
The N...orthrup King Building houses over 100 artists, and is a great place to see a wide variety of art, design, furniture, and jewelry. 1500 Jackson Street NE near the corner of Central and Broadway.
My studio is located on the 2nd floor in Studio #266. I really hope to see you!
