Darwin Stephenson I have a choice. And I don't chose myrhh. - Caryne Finlay Mount Everyone should read Caryne's description of the Inspiration Workshop in the discussion section. Her experience is inspiring.

Darwin Stephenson The enlightened give thanks for what most people take for granted.... As you begin to be grateful for what most people take for granted, the vibration of gratitude makes you more receptive to good in your life. - Michael Bernard Beckwith

Darwin Stephenson I am thankful for everything and I have no complaints. I am thankful for everything and I have no complaints. I am thankful for everything and I have no complaints. Darwin Stephenson If the roots remain untouched and firm in the ground, a felled tree still puts forth new shoots. If the underlying habit of craving and aversion is not uprooted, suffering arises anew over and over again. Is what you crave or avoid linked to suffering? What would happen if you faced what you avoid and avoided what you crave?

Darwin Stephenson One day a young traveler came to a wide river. Staring hopelessly at the great obstacle, he pondered how to cross such a wide barrier. Just as he was about to give up he saw a great teacher on the other side. He yelled over, "Oh wise one, can you tell me how to get to the other side?" The teacher pondered for a moment ...and called back, "My son, you are on the other side"

In 5th grade, students are asked to participate in a community service project of their choosing. My daughter Téa created an original event to create mini quilts for sick kids at Oakland Children's Hospital.
Not only is this a great cause, but it is a wonderful creative experience to share with a child. Come to In Betw...een Stitches on Saturday and they'll walk you through making your mini patchwork quilt (size of a small baby blanket). They're offering a discount on supplies and will show you step by step how to make your quilt.
You'll have a few weeks to finish your quilt and then they're getting everyone together to see each other's wonderful creations.
I hope you'll find yourself in downtown Livermore this Saturday to support this wonderful event.
