It’s been ten years since I launched my first album at Kulcha with a 10 piece line up of my favourite players that soon became the “Miles To Go” band. The band is still going strong in 2009, being rated by the Australian newspaper as one of the “standout acts” of the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland, as well as re...ceiving our 5th consecutive nomination for “Best World Music Act” at the 2009 “WAMi” awards. We think it's worth a gig to celebrate!
We've got some special guests and new faces (and in case you've missed them - the pipes are back!)
Opening the night will be some quirky folk songs from 2009 WAM “Song Of The Year” finalist Rhys Wood.

Hey David, great layered clip for ' Flatout like a lizard drinking' . Always love your recording ambiance - coincidentally I recorded the same title about a rather fast drive from Sydney to Adelaide.
See http://www.myspace.com/parrismacleod last track. Was recorded between midnight & dawn one slightly random drive b...y night at Parris Macleod's Central Coast studio on the way home to Tamworth. Features Grant Thomas on Bass & Karl Lewis (savage gardens) on Drums, WuPuYu on Flute and we woke Dave Hellens up around 4am to thrash some banjo rolls. A Very unexpected visit that day LOL.
