Indigone Trio's striking brand of modern acoustic jazz has won fans across Canada and the United States. Their self-titled EP and full-length debut, Cycles, released on Ropeadope Digital and recorded with string quartet, feature original compositions and arrangements by pianist David Ryshpan and co-founding bassist Alex Mallett. Their music, described as "simply gorgeous" by John Murph of JazzTimes, is influenced by their peers and their heroes in the worlds of jazz, classical, rock and electronica. Formed as a McGill University student group in 2003, Indigone was the only Canadian student ensemble selected to perform at the 2006 IAJE conference in New York, and were nominated in the 2008 Montreal Jazz Festival's Grand Prix du Jazz.

JFJO's music generates an all-encompasing sensory experience for the listener. Since 1994 JFJO's virtuosic instrumental interplay, uncanny ability to communicate musically and near-telepathic improvisation has won over fans and critics alike all over North America, Europe and South America. These four musicians are musical chameleons who can move crowds in small jazz clubs, big rock clubs and performing arts theaters. They have been celebrated by the jazz world - playing regularly at NYC's Blue Note and the now defunct Tonic, in some of Europe's biggest jazz theaters, and appearing in major jazz magazines such as Downbeat and JazzTimes - but they also have found success and audiences in the jam scene - playing large festivals and performing with the likes of Steve Kimock and Les Claypool. With the addition of Combs on lap steel and Hayes on acoustic bass, JFJO has perhaps invented its own genre: red dirt jazz, equal parts earthy and nimble, pastoral and sweeping, elegant and rollicking.
