"The main effort of arranging your life should be to progressively reduce the amount of time required to decently maintain yourself so that you can have all the time you want for reading." -- Novelist Norman Rush

Mary Paige Smith Great job, everyone!

http://www.nova.edu/cwis/pubaffairs/sharkbytes/2009/nov25/law_students_canned_immunity_drive.html

Students at NSU's Shepard Broad Law Center donated 10,000 cans of
food to Feeding South Florida (formerly the Daily Bread Food Bank) that
were collected through the law school's "Canned Immunity" food driv...e
from Nov. 16-20.

As part of the food drive, first-year
law students that donated cans could receive "immunity" from being
called on in class for that day. Drop box locations were also set up in
the atrium of the Law Center.

The food drive was held by the Law Center’s Public Interest Law Society and Phi Alpha Delta.

Rob Hudson As the Interim Director here at the law library & technology center I want to welcome you. We are here to assist.

Law Library & Technology Center Top Ten List Fall 2009:

1. Ask questions at reference and circulation!

2. Use cell phones in the library only in designated cell phone areas (such as the copy rooms) and... turn off ring tones.

3. Food is not permitted in the library. Small candies and minor munchies allowed.

4. Drinks in the library should be in safe, spill-resistant mugs & cups to save our books and new carpet from destruction.

5. Please use the numerous garbage cans for any wrappers or other junk unwanted items.

6. Don’t leave your laptop unattended, ever!

7. Speak softly and if you use a study room remember the walls are thin and voices carry.

8. Reshelf your books.

9. Use printers judiciously to avoid wasting paper and report any malfunctions.

10. Keep the library beautiful!
