Davis Food Co-op Cleaning/eating differently/dieting as part of your New Year's Resolution? When you clean out your kitchen cupboards, don't forget the Food Bank! Drop off unwanted (shelf-stable, unopened, unexpired) food at the Co-op and start your clean slate with a clear conscience!

I'd like to buy toothpaste in bulk. Ideally something not from a gigantic corporation, and in the largest bulk I can get for $100 or less. I'm looking to minimize packaging and the amount of thought/time I have to put into buying toothpaste, while doing so responsibly.

The Davis Food Co-op is pleased to welcome co-op developer and author Andrew McLeod, who will be presenting about his recent cooperative tour in the Basque Country of Spain and the Rust Belt of the United States on Monday, January 18 at 6:00 pm.
In the Basque Mondragon cooperatives, profits and power are broadly distri...buted, resulting in a community that is more affluent than the rest of Spain without the same extremes of wealth and poverty. In our own nation's old manufacturing heartland - from Detroit to Pittsburgh - this model is catching on after a generation of economic difficulty. These areas have much to teach us about how a cooperative economy might bring about the economic justice that Dr. King envisioned as a key companion to political justice. Come learn and discuss what this model has for our region
This event will be at the Davis Food Co-op Teaching Kitchen, 537 G Street. The event is free, but seating is limited. To reserve a seat, please email Julie Cross at jcross@davisfood.coop, sign up at the Co-op at 620 G Street, or RSVP to this facebook event listing!
