what painful primate research???
Jason
Jason
Primate research...if you don't believe in it; don't ever take any modern medicine or ever see a modern doctor; volunteer yourself for research and donate your body to science... The Simian Aids reseach at UCD is hyper critical to finding a cure for primates and for HIV... There is a lot of important research going on at UCD to find cures and feed ... Read Morethe world... On my part, I did volunteer myself for research. I gave several blood samples which resulted in tracks in my arms; I participated in calcium intake research with radioactive isotopes and it is why you have calcium in your OJ. I also have an animal science/aquaculture degree and used to work on vaccines for UCD/U.S. Fish and Game/Farmers/Society... Each one of us needs to ask...what is my contribution to society?
Jessica Keding

Jessica Keding hey is there anyone out there who would like to get a game of soccer together in the mornings just for fun on campus some where. no experience needed

Lisa Reyes

Lisa Reyes The Mind Body Wellness Group is excited to announce the launching of a new on-line Wellness Portal, funded through Be Smart About Safety and Health Education and Promotion, Student Health Services. The portal is designed to assist students, staff, faculty, retirees and community residents in locating resources related to the various aspects of wellness. For example, users can quickly and easily learn about wellness resources such as local farmer's markets, classes at the Experimental College or tips for handling tension and anger. To make this a "one stop shopping" experience, campus, community and web resources are included.

The Wellness Portal is located at: http://mywellness.ucdavis.edu.

We will continue to build this site and add additional resources. If you
have suggestions, please contact us at wellness@shs.ucdavis.edu. We look forward to supporting you in enhancing your wellness.

I like more opportunity for women, but I hope that demanding parity as a percentage does not lead to cutting men's programs thereby providing less opportunity and sport diversity on campus. The wrestling program has been on the block several times and one of the reasons stated was to bring UCD into Title IX compliance. Cutting a programs to make the numbers work is a shame and should not be encouraged by any athlete male or female.

What a wonderful post/article! It is great to hear about what exceptional individuals attend UC Davis. Our son, too, will start attending this great university in the Fall. He was also accepted to UCLA, UCI, UCSD and UC Berkley. But, he chose UC Davis! He chose well!
CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2009!

I had the same options. Your son made the right chose. I did 15 years ago. UC Davis has changed so much since. Wonderful and understanding Faculties. One advice -> If you hear your son talk too much about the Coffee House, you want to start tracking his grades. :) Good Luck Class of 2009. Best 4 or 5 years of your life.
Steven

Steven Hey Fellow Aggies!

The Memorial Union will be open for you to study 24 hours during finals. In order to make sure this resource continues to be offered and possibly expanded to other locations like the Library or the ARC, we need to show the campus that this is a service students want and will use.

Our goal is to have 10,000 invites sent out to this event page. Please take just a few minutes to invite everyone you know and to 'share' this on your profile.

It will go along way to ensuring that there is always 24 hour study space during finals for years to come.

Thank you very much!
