Caroline My favorite store ever!

Welcome to our first attempt at blogging. Admittedly, we are a couple years behind, but some things just have to simmer on a low flame for awhile—so maybe we should start out by saying , you can’t rush a risotto, and there’s no hurrying a blog. read more »

Italian Christmas cooking in the peasant tradition

Mark Zingarelli My oh my. Stopped in at the main store in Jeanette today and found Bresaola and Speck in the meat department! I LOVE this place. Nothing in the Strip can touch Delallo's. Just had a Bresaola sandwich on crusty bread with lemon olive oil, arugula and thin sliced Parmigiano Reggiano. Madone!

Mary Ann Powers Just visited the market while visiting my daughter and her family. This is an amazing store and will become a regular stop on my way to Greensburg from Suffield, Ohio. Everything we purchased was delicious!

Malinna Helman Townsend My husband and I visited your store today.... absolutely, totally ♥ it!!!!! We are sooo excited to be carrying your products in our market soon!! Thank so much for the amazing opportunity to be a part of your wonderful history!! :)

SALUMI vs. SALAMI : the word “salami” refers only
to dried sausage; the Italian term “salume or salumi” covers all kinds of
preserved meats.

DeLallo Part 1 of an 11 Part series on the glorious creation of Italy: SALUMI. The vast, mouthwatering array of air-cured, preserved, and in some cases cooked preparations made mostly with pork meat.

Hillorie Monsour A great American success story from jeanette. Ya gotta love it! Move over contadina.

Its half way through the workweek, and I don’t know about
you, but a Wednesday Pick Me Up would be great right about now??? Check
out our newest post about the famous Italian Dessert: TIRAMISU, which means,
"pick me up" in Italian. Anything with espresso, thick
mascarpone cream, and liqueurs is a given for us. (You can do the non-alcoholic
version, just double up on the chocolate!)

Tiramisu2.jpg An exploration of Italy’s most popular dessert. tiramisu homemadeAt many Italian tables, a meal is often finished with fresh fruit rather than dessert. The addition of dessert to a meal often marks a special occasion. It stands to reason

Heather Kinnas DeLallo's is one of the best things I've found since moving out to Irwin from Massachusetts just over 4 years ago!
